Introduction

Dinka is a Nilotic language used in southern Sudan and in the Sudanese diaspora.

This translation of the Book of Common Prayer into the Bor dialect of Dinka was published in the same year as the declaration of Sudanese independence from Anglo-Egyptian condominium government.

This text is identified as No. 30:4 in David Griffiths's Bibliography of the Book of Common Prayer 1549-1999 (London: The British Library; New Castle, Delaware: Oak Knoll Press, 2002). It was digitized in 2015 by Richard Mammana from a personal copy.
